  1. PURPOSE AND GROUNDS OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
  2. The register is used for the safety of Given Latvia's customers, employees, as well as persons visiting its premises and territory, prevention or detection of criminal offenses in connection with the protection of property, the protection of legal interests of the manager and the protection of vital interests of persons, including life and health. The basis for personal data processing is the controller's legal interests, which are based on the real estate manager's need to protect his real estate and the property located in it, as well as to take care of the safety of people in the real estate territory, and the protection of the property of employees and customers.

  3. HOW THE DATA IS PROCESSED AND WHAT THE DATA IS COLLECTED FOR
  4. Video surveillance in the premises and territory of Given Latvia is carried out using video surveillance cameras with image recording function. Video surveillance takes place online. It is carried out continuously throughout the day. Video surveillance in the premises of the Company's store takes place in online mode with audio sound recording. Covert video surveillance on the Company's territory is prohibited, except for cases when it is carried out by specially authorized state institutions, which are granted the right to carry out operational measures within the scope of their competence by an external regulatory act.

  5. DATA RECIPIENTS
  6. Personal data is available only to specially authorized Given Latvia employees who, based on their work duties, need to process and maintain personal data in the register. Personal data processors are obliged not to disclose information.

  7. DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE EU/EEA
  8. There is no access to the servers that store the data of persons registered in video surveillance outside the EEA.

  9. DATA STORAGE TIME
  10. Camera recordings are usually stored for 2-4 weeks, depending on the capacity of the data carrier, if storage for a longer period of time is not necessary for the purposes of data processing, for example, to submit a legal claim or to certify. The record shall be deleted no later than after the court ruling has entered into force, or the consideration of the case for compensation of damages has ended, or the term of the case for compensation of damages has expired.

  11. REGISTERED RIGHTS
  12. When entering the premises of the Given Latvia store, customers have the right to be informed that video surveillance is being carried out in the premises, what is its purpose, what is the legal basis for data processing, and to whom the data is transferred.

  13. RIGHT TO SUBMIT A COMPLAINT TO THE SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY
  14. The data subject has the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authorities if he believes that the processing of his personal data is contrary to the applicable data protection regulations. In Latvia, the national supervisory authority is:
